… 3 year old little girls that is just so lovely. This gal was no exception. I could tell from the sparkle in her eye upon first meeting her that we were in for a great session. She ran the gamut from mischievous to serious which made for some sweet expressions. I have no doubt that the parents of this princess might end up having a tough time choosing their favorite images :-). Thanks for looking!

This little monkey was as busy as could be – constantly on the move – and always interested in the next thing. Although I took many pictures of her joyous and busy nature – these two just stood out for me at first glance, and showcase another lovely side of her altogether. Thanks for looking!

Newborn Babies Everywhere!

Wow – what a week it has been with 3 newborns in the span of 1 week. Unlike the previous two (who were first in line for the throne), this little guy had two awesome sisters who thought he was something else! I shot the two girls when they were younger, and I was yet again amazed at their collective sparkle and enthusiasm. Baby brother was as cool as a cucumber – and came to task when he was called upon. Thanks for looking!

That’s exactly what this household was – BUSY! This gang consisted of twins (2 1/2 years old) and one 5 year old who I had photographed years earlier. It was go go go for the entire morning. The youngest twin (the only girl) was very sure about what she did, and DIDN’T want to do. Alas – she did warm up eventually – especially once we were inside. Having said that – you will see that it all fell apart towards the end. Good thing I got some good stuff before that happened :-). Thanks for looking!

This lovely little monkey fooled us all by being awake for most of the session – and when she did fall asleep, it was never too deeply. She was one of the most observant and alert newborns I have ever shot. I felt sure that there was deep thought going on in that little head of hers :-). Alas, after all of her morning antics, I am banking on the possibility that she ended up having a 3 hour nap as soon as I left. Good thing she gave me my new favorite newborn image first! Thanks for looking.

… a newborn girl, after a string of many boys. This precious little pea was absolutely gorgeous – and cooperated fully from start to finish. Trust me – they aren’t all so accommodating :-). All in all a terrific session. Thanks for looking!

$24,000+… What a Fantastic Day!

Wow… what a day it was yesterday, when Super Team Niels (with over 100 team members) walked in the Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes at the CNE Bandshell Park, as well as raising over almost $24,000 and counting. The weather cooperated and all of the kids were real troopers for the 5K walk. After the walk, many team members went to Ontario Place with their Play All Day passes that they had earned for their fundraising efforts. It was a VERY full day and by all accounts a great day was had by all. Each year, as I stand behind my lense to take a picture of the beautiful crew that make up Super Team Niels, I feel overcome with emotion and gratitude for all of the love and support shown to our son Niels and our family on this important day. It is truly amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to send out a HUNORMOUS (as my daughter Lola would say) – THANK YOU to all those who donated to Super Team Niels and helped us get one step closer to finding a cure for all those living with Type 1 Diabetes.

The Last Mini Session Crew…

What a week!!! I finished processing the last of the mini sessions on Friday and was off to the cottage on Saturday for a little over 24 hours for some much needed decompressing. For those that are reading about these mini sessions for the first time.. their main purpose has been to raise money for Super Team Niels for The Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes, on Sunday, June 13th. If you’d like to contribute to a great cause, you can do so HERE. In the meantime, please enjoy this last set of beautiful children!

More Mini Session Madness…

Slowly but surely I am getting through the pictures from this past Sunday’s mini sessions (to raise money for Super Team Niels and the JDRF). Even though my legs are still recovering from squatting 100 times that day, it’s all good because I’m lucky enough to be gazing at photographs of all these gorgeous children. Twice the Fun {toronto photographers children}

These twins were DELIGHTFUL. I was so excited when I first set eyes on them because they both had such beautiful energies. We almost lost each one a couple of times – due to sheer exhaustion, but they both rallied until the end – with terrific results. I couldn’t resist including their beautiful cat – whose life changed significantly about 5 months ago! Thanks for looking!
